Carsten Pieper I completely agree with what Akra Watts wrote about this album: Very diverse (and many) references, yet sounding fresh and new.
This is my first album by this Finnish project but really shouldn't be the last. Favorite track: The Sleeping Lion.
Jakub Michalski

Jakub Michalski As always great stuff by those guys. Maybe a bit more cinematic and less "haunted" than the previous releases but equally great Favorite track: Naked Sky.

Akira Watts For an album to go from reminding me of Kamasi Washington to Bowie to the Legendary Pink Dots to Ennio Morricone, within the span of a single song, is an impressive feat. Even more impressive is that, despite the above references, this album manages to sound fresh and original and totally new. Cinematic is the key tag here, since this sounds like the best soundtrack to an imaginary movie ever. Favorite track: The Ground of Being.

Sonia M. Every album of OE is a masterful work, crossing genre boundaries, with a rich blend of influences and instruments, and this one is no exception. One of those albums that makes you obsess until you've figured out every detail, a wonderful sonic ride. Favorite track: The Ground of Being.

Roman D This album truly shines when listened front to back as a full course like a classical concerto, and it deserves that honour too. Drama, suspense and catharsis are weaved together brilliantly into an hour long journey.

I love to observe how bands develop over time and carve out their musical identity and Onségen is certainly one of those bands. This album is my favourite of theirs, and the next one will likely become the favourite again. Favorite track: Naked Sky.

Tom's Reviews I keep wanting to put this album in a psychedelic rock box, but there's so much more going on than just that, even though it is a key element to what this group does. No matter what you call it, this is a wonderful effort from the first notes, and to the very last ones as well. Favorite track: The Ground of Being.
